People who pay $50+ dollars for t-shirts are just plain stupid. There's absolutely no reason to pay THAT much for a t-shirt , especially when you have online stores that allow you to get one-of-a-kind, limited edition t-shirts with prints by real artists for around $20. Don't believe us? Then check out these sites.
The Favorite
Threadless - The full catalog of Awesome T-Shirts
Not to get all teen-girl, but
SJS HEARTS THREADLESS.
Threadless is the only store that has an interactive community. It encourages amateur designers to submit their t-shirts designs online. Once submitted, users would then rate and decide whether they would buy it. If designs are catchy and smart, it'll be up for sale online. That, and $2000 cash money, a $500 gift certificate and more - pretty decent for a shopping spree! Prices are comparatively cheap (around $10 bucks on sale) given they're printed on quality American Apparel garments.
The Runners Up
DeFunker - T-Shirts that make you happy!
Defunker defines itself as “another cool online urban shop and does have some cool designs, like
this and
Busted Tee. However, with designs similar to
Threadless but with a higher price tag, they should probably focus on coming up with a better value proposition.
Vintage Vantage - Land Of The Free, Home of The Fresh
Vintage Vantage is famous for its exclusive VantageSoft fabric, which, according to their press materials, results in the perfect fitting. Graphic Tees start at about $22.50, but you can find a few on sale for $10. J While the quality is great, do you really need to pay $20 bucks for a plain tee you could find at Old Navy for $10?
Off Line - Gaming and Geek Gifts & Apparel for the Other Side of the Keyboard
For those that understand PW3N, HTTP 404, AFK and ROFLMAO and other geek -speak acronyms that will ensure you a life spent STM, this is your store.
Offline is like the clothier to gaming world, providing a selection of t-shirt designs based on general gaming or tech news such as World of Warcraft, Wii, etc. T-shirts start at $12.99, which means you'll have plenty of time to stock up before SXSW 2009.
David and Goliath - We Make T-Shirts You Don’t Have To
Another online apparel store focusing on corny sayings that only get you girls in movies like "Knock-Up", such as “Sorry, I date only models and “Why Can’t I Be Rich Instead of Good Looking?.
