Let's face it, there's nothing manly about the words "diaper bag." They conjure up images of pastel colors and teddy bears, and unless you're a children's show host (and even then) we're guessing these things just don't work with your carefully crafted sense of style. Still, there are times when you need to carry the kid stuff, and you need something cooler to carry it in; but you'd also like to leave some cash in the college fund.
While the truly guy-worthy diaper bags seem to be more pricey than the fru-fru versions (hmmmm . . .) we're thinking these actually look good enough to double up for other, non-daddy related things. Here are some dad-worthy diaper bags, then, for less:
Diaper Dude Bag, $59.99, Target
Graco Daddy Bag, $39.88, WalMart
DadGear Skull and Crossbone Messenger Diaper Bag, $79

Who says a black suit isn't right for summer? A light or medium weight suit made of cotton or woven wool is perfect for the heat. Go formal and pair it with your best business gears, or go for a business casual look and wear it with a bold colored polo shirt and a pair of loafers or sneakers. Say no to socks and show off your skin cause this season, the attraction is physical.
The suit: One button super 130s all-wool suit (ideal fabric for the four seasons) from
Men's USA, $149.
The polo shirt: Calvin Klein cotton shirt available in five colors from
Macy's, $39.99.
The shoes: J. Michigan's black leather loafers from
6pm.com, $66.12.

It is, in fact, the most cliche gift a dad can receive for Father's Day. But at the same time, your dad may actually wear ties, or you, as a dad yourself, may wear ties. So what's the harm? The trick, really, is to find a tie that is, depending on the recipient, stylish/edgy/awesome enough to be appreciated. Some ties we like this Father's Day:
The Skinny Tie: Barber Tie, $28, UrbanOutfitters
The Striped Tie: Merona Bar Stripe Tie, $19.99,....

Heading somewhere on vacation this summer? If you happen to be so lucky, you'll need something to put all your stuff in. And it should not -- we repeat, should not -- be the same nylon bag you take to the gym, and that you've had since college. Seriously. At a loss? There's nothing wrong with a duffel bag -- they're easy to pack and easy to stash -- but you need the grown up kind. Here are some options that won't put too much of a dent in that....

Belts are a great (and potentially inexpensive) way to add a little trendy style to the reliable basics you cycle through season after season. This summer? It's the woven belt, which may feel oddly 1991 to some of you, but we're thinking it could be a nice change of pace -- and since summer's supposed to be casual and laid back, the woven belt kind of makes sense. In a recycled fashion trend sort of way. If you like the idea, check out these....

Summer's only a month away, but the weather can still be fickle this time of year, meaning that getting ready to walk out the door is even more complicated than usual. How to cope when the day is expected to start out at 40 degrees and overcast, and end up 75 and sunny? One word -- layers.
These aren't your winter layers of course -- no heavy knits and doubling up on the long sleeves. Think light pieces you can peel off without compromising....

The problem with cologne is—or at least it seems—that some people just simply do not know how it should be worn, as evidenced by
this and
this, for starters. If you wear it properly, people shouldn’t really smell it unless you’re right up next to them, and even then it should be nothing but a subtle pleasantry.
The art, then, is obviously in the application. The best time to go about applying cologne is right after your shower but before....

Last week on
The Budget Fashionista, Kathryn gave
butt enchancement advice to a woman whose butt was so flat she considered getting butt implants. Kathryn suggested that she try padded undergarments instead.
After reading the post, we wondered if there was a similar product for our flat butt brothers.
Well, not even 24 hours later, our enhancement, umm, prayer, was answered by this post on the
Truemors site.
The company
Bottoms Up has a....

With the advent of Spring, comes the pursuit of happiness — which, for a lot of guys, appears to take the form of whacking a little white ball with a really slick club. But nobody wants to look like a schlub out on the links, so here are some pieces that will keep you looking good even while you’re cursing out that inanimate-yet-menacing water hazard on the back nine.
The Polo: Pick something like
this PGA Tour Solid Mesh Polo, $21.99 to....
