I’m not a huge fan of higher end resuable razors. While they are sharp, and usually pretty cool looking, they tend not be sharp enough to avoid razor bumps (I actually go for cheaper disposable razors, but that another tip for another day). In my experience, only a straight razor can give the ‘smooth as a baby butt’ result on a regular basis.
Anyway, I wasn’t expecting the best results after my five day vacation at a resort where being clean shaven was strictly banned. However, I was delightfully surprised after cracking open a fresh package of Gillette 3 Razors and using Gillette Fusion brand shaving cream (the instructions insisted I use ONLY the Fusion Shaving cream, apparently my face would disintegrate into a pile of dust if I used a different shaving cream with the razor, but I digress) that this razor actually felt like a straight razor. I made quick work of the five day growth on one go around without a razor bump or even a nic in sight.
