The Art of Balding Gracefully

Unfortunately it’s a fact of life that the odds are against you in the race to maintain a full head of hair throughout your life. But instead of buying a toupe or spending your hard-earned cash on plugs, try “letting it go gracefully”, either with razors or with hair clippers.

We did a post a little while back on Remington’s ShortCut, which is a hair clipper made specifically for men who prefer to cut their own hair—and it even has what’s called the Balding Comb, which is a guard that allows these clippers to give the user the closest possible hair cut. A close cut helps make it look like you have more hair than you really do and also helps you “ease” your way into being bald.

Using a razor is an equally viable option, though it takes a little more conviction since it takes off all of the hair you currently have. A regular razor—the kind you shave your face with—works but can make the act difficult and it’s easier to cut yourself that way. Luckily somebody came out with a product called the Headblade. Essentially a Hot Wheels car with a razor blade cartridge on one end, it makes it easier and safer for the user to shave their head without cutting themselves.
