In recent years, shorts for guys have generally hit the knee or below, but according to the New York Times, shorter shorts are finding their way to both the runway and the streets of NYC. We’re kind of conservative around here on this issue, so we figure unless you’re in a Village People review or on the swim team (in which case you’re wearing speedo briefs, not shorts) your shorts should hit at least just above the knee. But that’s just us. What’s your take — are short shorts for men a Yea or a Nay?

You should only wear short-length shorts (casual or formal) if you’re under 25, with very little leg hair, and your waist is size 32 or less. It’s also best if the shorts are pleated like cargo shorts from the late-eighties.
I would have to disagree with you Icarus. I feel like short shorts are for older people. You never see people these days from pre-teen to 30 wearing short shorts like the guy in the picture. Its something our parents wear.
