What: DKNY Runway Show, New York Fashion Week Spring 09

The Lowdown: Think neutral suits. Think sweater vests. Think bright color underneath. Keep those three elements in mind, and you'll be totally in sync with DKNY's take on menswear for Spring. And though it's nothing revolutionary, we're on board, and also with the casual-wear color combo of muted pink and beige/khaki, for those of us who are man enough to pull it off. On the whole, the collection says clean, laid back, classic.

Budget Solution: This one will be easy to pull off for Spring -- we've already written about the sweater vest under suits, and that trend will continue well past winter -- but DKNY's showing them more with button-downs than v-necks, so that's something to think about picking up now. For footwear, think bucks and even sneakers, which you can wear with your suit after hours, but skip it for the workplace. But you knew that.
