Dave 1 (Dave Macklovitch) is the stylish counterpart of the electro-funk duo Chromeo. While his other half is thuggishly chill, we opt for Dave 1’s look because he makes simplicity look cool. See him (left) at the inaugural All Points West Festival in New Jersey where he gives the perfect balance of brown in his outfit. In between, we find sleek white pants paired with a fitted shirt … popped collar, of course along with rolled up sleeves. This style is classic – so basic that if you darken the colors and add a cardigan, it’ll bring you easily into fall.

The watch: Timex mother-of-pearl dial watch with gold and silver metal band from Target, $54.99. The battery powered watch has a fold-over clasp closure and is water-resistant to 30 meters.

The shoes: Sperry Top-Sider classic brown boat shoe from Endless.com, $64.95.
