Clinique Skin Supplies for Men: Grooming Advice

June 18, 2008 12:00 PM

Chances are you’ve heard of Clinique, though probably not for your own purposes. Clinique is one of the biggest names in cosmetics but has only more recently begun to make a foray into the world of men’s products.

We recently got a hold of a few of the Clinique Skin Supplies for Men and decided to give them a try. It turns out they know what they’re doing.

We started out with their Face Scrub, which can be found at local department stores or Sephora for around $15. It easily lives up to its name with the sandpaper-like buffing granules, but when coupled with a nice amount of menthol, it ends up leaving one’s face feeling soft and fresh—and ready for a nice shave if you’re so inclined.

The face scrub was followed up with the M Protect face lotion. It goes on clean and leaves no residue whatsoever on your face or your hands. And the SPF 21 protection it offers is higher than most other face lotions, so the M Protect can double as a sunscreen if you’re planning on visiting the beach now that the weather’s starting to warm up.

You are joking about Clinique just getting into men’s cosmetics.  They had the same line for men when I was in college 20 years ago, just an update to the packaging.

BTW, the shave cream will give you the closest shave you have ever had.  Use it after showering, it is AMAZING.
