Barack Obama: Style Jack

As the fashion world looks ahead to spring/summer 2009, the country is preparing for a paramount presidential election. One designer has made her pick clear — Donatella Versace dedicated her ‘09 collection in Milan to Barack Obama. According to the Associated Press, Versace said she created a style designed for “a relaxed man who doesn’t need to flex muscles to show he has power.” So here we take a cue from the presidential hopeful, seen here matching his wife, in a casual fashion.

The shirt: Merona light blue cotton long-sleeve dress shirt with a button-down collar and two-button cuffs from Target, $24.99.

The watch: Timex watch with brown leather band and gold trimming around the large face for $40.

The belt: Fossil brown leather belt with heavy stitching and gold metal buckle for $30.

The pants: Perry Ellis double pleated khakis pants on sale for $46.99 (originally $65) from Macy’s.
