Also from Simply Good Media:
It's entirely possible that you might have some very righteous political reason to take a moral stand on buying a suit from a company based partly in China. If so, you may want to skip this. For the rest of us however, we're thinking that a low cost, quality suit constructed by Chinese master tailors sounds pretty darn good. Indochino.com is the company, based in British Columbia and Shanghai, and the idea is that you can get a custom made suit in a partnership that's meant to "empower small Chinese tailors with ownership and excellent profit margins." Fair enough.
How does it work? Well, you do have to measure yourself (but they give you step-by-step instructions on a 12-minute measuring process, and you can even order a tape measure and swatches online) but beyond that, it appears to be as simple as perusing the style book and ordering your choice, and your suit is delivered to your door in 2 weeks. It all sounds so good that we figured the styles wouldn't, er, measure up, but we think they look pretty great actually (check out the style book here).
